Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Warnick

Mary Elizabeth Warnick, 94, of State College, died Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at home. Born December 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John Michael and Mary Bodnar Kozel. On May 15, 1946, she married Edward Stephen Warnick, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2000. She is survived by three children: Marilyn Warnick of London, England; Edward Warnick and his wife, Vicki, of Denver, Colorado and Mark Warnick and his wife, Nancy of Etters, Pa; five grandchildren: Valerie, Lauren, Jillian, Macy and Cole; and three great grandchildren: Ivy Rain, London and Lincoln. She was also close to five nieces and six nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Mary was educated in Smock and Uniontown, Pennsylvania. She worked for 23 years as a purchasing agent at O.W Houts in State College. She enjoyed baking, gardening, yoga, walking, antiquing, bird watching and solving intricate word puzzles. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in State College on Thursday, 15th November at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Centre County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
