After starting a family, she focused on volunteer activities including running the volunteer programs at Houserville and Lemont elementary school libraries.

Kay will be remembered for her resilience, fierce love of family, Penn State football, the card game bridge and Penn State women's volleyball.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
