Obituary of Fred Randolph

Fred C. Randolph 78 a resident of State College died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Altoona Hospital Campus B. Born December 24, 1932 in Pine Grove Mills the son of the late Faye L. "Curley" and Helen Chandler Randolph. On September 28, 1963 he married the former Connie Bottega who survives. He is also survived by one son David K. Randolph and wife Kim and one step-son Michael Harvey and companion Jeanne, three grandsons Nathaniel, Dalton and Spencer Randolph, and one brother Jon Randolph and wife Bonnie all of State College. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother David C. Randolph. Fred attended State College High School was of the Methodist faith and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a postal clerk at the State College Post Office for 31 years retiring in 1993. He also had been a painter for Porter Brothers. A member of State College Lodge #700 of F&AM, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Williamsport, Shrine International, American Legion Post 245, Dunlap Meckley Dear VFW Post 5825, a former umpire at Nittany Valley Little League and a former member of the State College BPOE Elks Lodge #1600. Friends will be received at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College, PA, on Tuesday March 29, 2001 from 6 until 8 PM. Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at Pine Grove Mills Cemetery on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 10:30 A.M . In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to either the State College Babe Ruth Baseball, P.O. Box 593, State College, PA 16804 or to State College Little League, P.O.
