As we talk more about “Rebirth after Loss,” I want to share the rebirths my husband and I experienced during and after our six pregnancy losses. At one point on our journey, we were asked to share our story with the support group we attended. While preparing for that evening, I spent some time thinking about my many rebirths from our losses – a rebirth as a person with a deeper spiritual life; a rebirth as a couple who felt we could now get through anything together; and, a rebirth as parents who truly understood that children are a gift. Those rebirths changed the trajectory of my life and made it even fuller. I’m grateful for rebirth after loss.
