To close out our theme of “Whispers of the Heart,” I want to share this poem from Joyce Rupp and encourage you to listen to the whispers and pay attention to the star in your heart.
A Star In My Heart
There’s a star inside of me;
She shines there in my heart
and waits to be recognized
Darkness tries to scare her off,
Ego attempts to ignore her,
busyness pushes her around…
She waits to lead me
to an unknown meadow
where the truth of who I am
will be revealed to me.
Her voice is everywhere.
She encourages me to come into the
deep recesses where I have not
yet been transformed.
She knows the way we need to go…
She lights up seemingly unbearable passages.
