Continuing with our topic of our culture saying don’t mention actual death, it’s interesting to learn that studies show thinking of death is actually one way to care for ourselves.  According to the Greater Good Science Center at UC Berkeley, grateful people sometimes think about death and loss.  They think about it not in a morbid way, but in a “seize the day” kind of way.  By thinking about endings, grateful people become more grateful for what they have and researchers have found that being grateful makes you healthier emotionally and physically.
