Obituary of G. Lynn Adams

G. Lynn Adams, 74, of Pennsylvania Furnace, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the home in which he was lovingly cared for by his nephew and close companion, William Adams, his niece, Rebecca Romig and her husband, Robert. Born August 18, 1941, in Altoona, he was the son of the late William J. and Rosa Meloy Adams. He is survived by one brother, William Adams of Tyrone, one sister, Rose Piroumoff of Coppell,TX and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his brothers Richard and Bruce, a nephew Todd, and a niece Kim. Lynn graduated from Altoona High School and attended Penn State University where he received a degree in Drafting and Design Technology. He was employed as a traffic engineer for Prince George's County, Maryland, for over 25 years. Lynn loved dogs and was a Pennsylvania Rail Road enthusiast. He, along with his family, was appreciative of the tender care he received from Home Instead and Home Nursing Agency. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 pm, on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, with Pastor Chad Oberholtzer officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Home Nursing Agency Hospice, 201 Chestnut Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601, in memory of G. Lynn Adams.
