Obituary of Robert Thomas Miller

Robert Thomas Miller, 84, of State College, died Monday, April 25, 2016, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born September 11, 1931 in Altoona, he was the son of the late James and Leona Wilson Miller. He married Margaret "Margie" Fleisher, who survives at home. He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey A. Miller and his wife, Louise E., of Indiana, Chris R. Miller and his wife, Lori W., of Middletown, a brother, John Miller, of North Carolina, five grandchildren, Anne M. Jones, Nicole L. Miller, Robert J. Miller, Kara M. Miller, Jaden M. Miller and two great grandchildren, William and Daniel Jones. He served as a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force for twenty four years. Bob was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School. He graduated in 1954 from Penn State University receiving a bachelor's degree in Metallurgy. He was employed by Cerro Copper and Brass Company as a Metallurgist for thirty two years and worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for five years. He was a member of the State College Presbyterian Church and Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
