Obituary of Dolores Hess Tiberio

Dolores Hess Tiberio, 89, of State College, died on Monday, August 1, 2016, at Juniper Village at Brookline, State College. Born February 27, 1927 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Isabella Hess. Dolores married Ronald F. Tiberio on May 12, 1948 in Pittsburgh, who survives at home. Dolores is survived by her daughter, Susan L. Keister and her husband, George, of State College; two grandchildren, Christopher Adam Keister of State College and Amanda Louise Keister of North East, Maryland; and great-granddaughter, Madelyn Anne Keister of State College. Dolores graduated from Humboldt High School, Pittsburgh, in 1945. Following high school, she was employed by the Federal Government as a secretary from 1945 until 1954. Dolores was later employed as an executive secretary for Procter and Gamble, and later for Snavely Forest Products from 1966 until her retirement in 1986 when her first grandchild was born. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, State College, and the American Humane Society. Dolores enjoyed walking and spending time with her dog Romeo. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, PA 16801, in memory of Dolores Hess Tiberio.
