Obituary of Samuel William Joseph Stacey

Samuel William Joseph Stacey passed away peacefully on September 14, 2017 at the age of 43. Samuel was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada on February 7, 1974. Sam officially became part of the Stacey family on July 24, 1978 when his adoption was finalized in Bellefonte, Pa at the Centre County Court House. Sam was quick with a smile and enjoyed being around people. He loved his family and was proud to be an uncle to his 11 nieces and 9 nephews. He was a big fan of Penn State football. Fishing was one his favorite things to do. He also had great musical ability on the piano and drum set. He loved to compose beautiful songs. Sam is survived by his parents William and Linda Stacey, and siblings, Janelle Jung, Michelle Calder, Daniel Stacey, Michael Stacey and Chantelle Weaver. He is further survived by his Aunts Lisa Schoonmaker and Violet Cornwell. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday September 23 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel on Whitehall Rd. All are welcome to come and remember Sam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Sam's name may be made to Centre County Housing Transitions. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
