Obituary of Margaret Jane Myers

Margaret Jane "Peggy" Myers, 75, of Philipsburg, died Sunday, March 21, 2021, at home.

Born August 15, 1945, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Duane O. and Martha J. Cline Callahan. On September 4, 1962 she married Clarence H. Myers, who preceded her in death on May 17, 2012.

Peggy is survived by two children, Matthew L. Myers and his wife Lisa of Stockton, MD, and Wendy S. Myers of Philipsburg; one brother, Mike Callahan of State College; one sister-in-law, Kim Myers of Montoursville; five grandchildren, Zachary Myers, Jed Jones and his wife Kayla, Malachi Jones, Caleb Jones and Nathan Myers; and one great-grandson, Eldon Lester-Jones.

Peggy graduated from Jersey Shore Area High School in 1963. She was self-employed as a seamstress and tailor.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of State College, as well as the Women's Welcome Club of State College.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 851 Science Park Road, State College, with Pastor Bryan Spang officiating. Social distancing will be observed and masks will be mandatory for both the visitation and funeral.

Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Centre County Unit at cancer.org.
