Obituary of Edward Blehl

Edward F. Blehl, 92, formerly of Lemont, died Saturday, January 14, 2012. Born Nov. 28, 1919, in Erie, he was a son of the late Dr. Edward A. and Helen Divany Blehl. He married Catherine Challenger on Feb. 7, 1948, who preceded him in death Feb. 6, 2006. He graduated from East Erie High School. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in European Theater Operations and in China, Burma and India. He graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor's in Industrial Psychology in 1947, and he earned a Masters in Industrial Psychology from Penn State in 1950. He was an Assoc. Professor of Psychology at Penn State for 23 years, retiring Jan. 1, 1980. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church, the American Assoc. of University Professors and the Pa. Psychology Assoc. He was a licensed psychologist. He is survived by their son Daniel Michael Blehl and his wife Dawn, of Baltimore, Md., his granddaughter, Lindsay, and his sister Marilyn Sementilli, of Parma Heights, Ohio.
