Obituary of Michael (Mike) J. MacIntosh

Michael (Mike) J. MacIntosh, 59, of Boalsburg, PA, died on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at home.

He was born on February 18, 1963 in Darby, PA to Thomas Harvey MacIntosh and the late Marie Reid MacIntosh. Mike was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School.

He was an avid Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles fan, but also had an enthusiastic love of soccer, college football, and many other sports. He played soccer throughout his youth. Mike loved the ocean and was a regular visitor to Cape May where he enjoyed shore fishing. Mike was a keen traveler, and in recent years Mike vacationed throughout Europe and the U.S. His family and friends remember him as full of life with a great sense of humor. He was generous and giving, and would always lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor. Mike was known for his deep love of animals and had many dogs and cats; he also maintained several freshwater fish tanks.

He is survived by his loving wife Rebecca Mugridge; son, Michael Casey MacIntosh; stepsons Anthony MacIntosh and Frank MacIntosh; father, Tom MacIntosh; brothers Billy (Madeline), Tommy (Donna), and Tim MacIntosh; sister Peggy (Brian) Sweeney; and many nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Reid MacIntosh.

Family and friends may gather for visitation on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA 16801. Service will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home.
