Obituary of Luis Luistro Garcia

Luis Luistro Garcia, 85, of Boalsburg, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at his home.

Born April 29, 1937, in Manila, Philippines, he was the son of the late Jesus and Teofila Luistro Garcia. On June 10, 1962 he married Edmadely "Edma" deLeon, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Maria Garcia Ward and her fiancé, Eric C. Klingler of Pennsylvania Furnace, Dr. Victoria Garcia Crain and her husband Dr. Steven Crain of State College, and ; two sisters, Ma. Louisa Bustamante and Dr. Ma. Victoria Garcia, both of Jersey City, NJ; three sisters-in-law, Belen Garcia of Hillsborough, NJ, Dr. Mariza Garcia of Modesto, CA, and Ning Ning Garcia of Manila, Philippines; and four grandchildren, Dr. Matthew A. Crain, Rebecca A. Ward, Rachel V. Ward, and Joshua L. Ward.

Luis owned L.L.G. Architects, and built and designed many buildings in New York and New Jersey and designed for Subway restaurants. He was a part of the American Association of Architects.

He was a born-again Christian and loved his wife, daughters, and grandchildren very much. He enjoyed tennis, travel, drawing, swimming in the ocean and had a lifetime membership with Jack LaLanne Fitness Gyms.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Koch Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at noon.
