Obituary of Nancy Neff

Nancy Neff, 84, of Boalsburg, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born February 6, 1939, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Charles D. "Chic" Werner and Alice Kasper Werner. She married Harold E. Neff on June 28, 1957, who preceded her in passing in 2002.

She is survived by four children, Harold Charles Neff and his wife, Cynthia, of Port Matilda, Caroline Neff Cook and her husband, William, of Cranberry Township, Patricia Neff Nellis and her husband, Kevin, of Lemont and Michael S. Neff and his wife, Kristina Hock, of Boalsburg; five grandchildren, Tyler Neff, Marie Florian and her husband, Danillo, Courtney Laninger and her husband, Bob, Elizabeth Neff, and Bridget Kisslak and her husband, Noah; three great-grandchildren, Liam Florian, Donovan Florian, Maeve Laninger and soon to be Abram Kisslak. She is also survived by nephews, Jonathan McCloskey, Scott McCloskey and a niece Nancy O'Connell and their families. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia Ann McCloskey.

As a child, she often accompanied her father, former Penn State Track Coach, Chic Werner to various events. She graduated from State College Area High School in 1957, and also attended Penn State University. She was a Realtor with Kissinger, Bigatel and Brower in Centre County for 37 years, served as President of PAR and on the Ethics and Standards Committees. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and served on the church council and was very active within the church. She enjoyed watching Penn State sports, golf and playing Bridge and Bunco. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Friday, July 14, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church, 105 Old Boalsburg Rd, Boalsburg, PA. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brent Book officiating.

Burial will be in the Boalsburg Cemetery, following the service.
