Obituary of Marion Young

Marion J. Young, 86, of State College, died Friday, July 6, 2012 at Westminster Woods, Huntingdon. Born January 22, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Chester J. and Helen Lydzinski Bakowski. She married Charles S. Young on July 2, 1946 who preceded her in death on January 14, 2009. She is survived by five children, Charles S. Young, of State College, Christine Wysocki and her husband, John, of Sanibel, FL, Stephen P. Young and his wife, Betsy Smalley, of Atlanta, GA, Linda Seidel and her husband, James, of Fayette, ME, Leigh Moore and her husband, James, of State College, a brother, Chester Bakowski and his wife, Dorothy, of Pittsburgh, a sister, Alice Cantine and her husband, Jim, of Pittsburgh, nine grandchildren , Keith and Andrew Young, Stephanie and Matthew Young, Stacie and Scott Seidel and Patrick, Caroline and Stuart Moore and one great grandchild, Reagan Young. Marion was of Catholic faith and spent the last 2.5 years living at Village Heights where she enjoyed the company of the other residents, especially her scrabble group, book club and poker playing friends. Marion's ashes will be placed next to her husband's at Fort Indiantown Gap at the convenience of the family.
