Obituary of Rita Filepas

Rita Christine Filepas, 63, of State College, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at her residence. Born April 11, 1949, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Edward Patrick and Rita D. Doyle Larkin. On December 22, 1971 she married Richard A. Filepas, who preceded her in death on July 20, 1997. She is survived by one son, Richard K. "Ricky" Filepas and his wife, Ania, of Clearwater, FL; five sisters and one brother, Patricia Snyder and her husband, Alan, of York, Aileen Warner and her husband, William, of Pleasant Gap, Kathleen Larkin, Maureen Keller, Colleen Chapman and her husband, Scott, all of State College, Kevin Larkin and his partner, Ron Miller, of Clearwater, FL. She was preceded in death by her infant brother, Edward Larkin, in 1955. Christine was a 1967 graduate of York Catholic High School. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in sociology from Penn State University in 1971. She was the Director of Client Services for the Upper Pinellas Association for Retarded Citizens. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
