Obituary of Arno Becker

Arno "Arnie" M. Becker, 71, of Boalsburg, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 in Huntingdon. Born May 29, 1941, he was the son of the late Arno and Cora Myers Becker. On July 2, 1961, he married Linda Strevig, who survives. He is survived by his sons, Kent M. Becker and his wife Robin of Port Matilda and Steven M. Becker and his wife Theresa of Paoli, and his cousin, Deb Hamilton of Spring Grove, and one granddaughter, Chloe Becker. Arnie worked as a computer repairman for IBM before his retirement, then was self-employed as a residential electrician. He was Lutheran by faith. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Power Squadron where he taught boating classes. He traveled with his son to high school hockey games, coached Teener League baseball and enjoyed softball and baseball. Friends will be received on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 1 to 3pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College.
