Obituary of Lucille Clark

Lucille E. Clark, 97, of State College, died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Foxdale Village, State College. Born June 24, 1915, in Akron, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Ada Slusser Lukens. On Sept, 14, 1940, she married Robert E. Clark, and they were married for nearly70 years until the passing of Robert in 2010. They lived in State college since 1947, most recently in Foxdale Village where they enjoyed many friends. She was an active and supporting member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, State College since 1947. One of her favorite activities was meeting with her social bridge group for over 60 years, with emphasis on the word "social". The dozen or so members of the group were some of her closest friends. Lucille was a long time active member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She is survived by her sons, Thomas E. Clark and his wife Susan, of Summerville, SC., and William R. Clark and his wife, Linda, of Carlisle, Mass., four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 10 until 11 a.m., on Monday, June 17, 2013, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with the Reverend Dr. G. Edwin Zeiders officiating. Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St Paul's United Methodist Church, 109 McAllister St, State College, PA 16801. Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.
