Obituary of Ellen Bellotti

Ellen A. Bellotti, 89, of State College, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in State College surrounded by family and friends. Born January 6, 1925 in Houtzdale, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Stephen and Mary Agnes O'Connor Archer. On September 1, 1949 she married Elmo Bellotti who preceded her in death on April 21, 2009. She is survived by two children, Ann Bellotti of Zion and Tony Bellotti of Lewistown; one sister, Becky Glenn of State College; three grandchildren, Ashley Kuhn of Centre Hall and Bruno and Giavonna Bellotti of Lewistown; many nieces, nephews and godchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and William "Posey" Archer and two sisters, Mary Jane Archer and Katherine Kline. Ellen was a 1943 graduate of Houtzdale High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory. She led a very active social life, enjoying china painting, bingo, golf and traveling with her husband. Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, with Father Michael Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Victory, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, PA 16801 or to the Knights of Columbus, 850 Stratford Drive, State College, PA 16801.
