Obituary of Jr. Labosky

Peter Labosky, Jr, 77, of Boalsburg died on August 6, 2014 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Born January 9, 1937 in Manville, NJ, he was the son of Peter Labosky, Sr. and Johanna Gezela Labosky. Peter is survived by his wife, Maryann T. Federovich Labosky; son, Kevin Labosky and wife, Tanya, of Boalsburg; daughter, Mary Jo Marshall, and husband, James, of Williamsburg, VA; 5 grandchildren; and sister, Mary Koteles of Flemington, NJ. In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Labosky. Peter served in the United States Army following graduating from high school. He later earned his PhD in Wood Science from Virginia Tech. He was a Professor at Penn State University for 22 years, retiring in 2001 as Professor Emeritus. Peter was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and traveling. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1:00p.m. until 3:00p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, with the Reverend Neil Dadey officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park following the service.
