Obituary of William Harpster

William "Bill" Joseph Harpster, 66, of Pine Grove Mills, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at his residence. Born April 6, 1948, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Jay R. and Susan Mae DeArmit Harpster. He survived by one sister, Wilma J. Ewing and her husband, George, of Petersburg; one niece, Rebecca Benson; one nephew, Gary Ewing; two great-nieces and two great-nephews. Bill was a 1966 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He was an auto mechanic for Town and Country R. V. in State College and Kline's Garage in Pine Grove Mills. Bill enjoyed hunting, stock car racing and helping others. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m., on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015, at the funeral home with Reverend Carl D. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Gatesburg Cemetery, Gatesburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St. State College, PA 16801, to assist the family with the funeral expense.
