Obituary of Neal Kunkle

Neal (don't call me Cornelia) Kunkle, age 66 passed peacefully at her residence on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Born September 5, 1948 in Elmira, NY where she was raised. She was the daughter of John and Julia Collins Fitzpatrick. She was married to Charlie Kunkle for forty-six years who survives at home. Along with her husband she is survived by two sons, Brett Kunkle and his wife Stephanie, of Wake Forest, NC, Steven Kunkle, of Gillett, a brother, Tony Fitzpatrick and his wife, Jackie, of Elmira, NY , five grandchildren, whom she loved immensely; Terrance, Mitchell, Eammon and Abby Kunkle of Elmira Heights, NY and Lucas Kunkle of Wake Forest, NC and a niece Kate Fitzpatrick of Boston, MA. Neal was a 1966 graduate of Notre Dame High School and earned a degree in accounting from Elmira Business Institute graduating in 1970, Elmira, NY. During the raising of her two children, Neal was heavily involved in the Elmira Heights School community through fundraising efforts and countless activities. She also found great joy in classic television such as I Love Lucy, Carol Burnett and British sitcoms. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggest donations be directed to the Jimmy V.
