Obituary of Rolando Ortega

Rolando "Rolo" Ortega, 62, of State College, died Friday, February 6, 2015, at his residence. Born May 2, 1952, in Havana, Cuba, he was the son of Rolando Ortega and the late Marta Acosta Ortega. In addition to his wife, Maritza Ledee, of 28 years, he is survived by his son, Diango Ortega of Havana, Cuba and three step-children, Frances Moret of Elizabeth, NJ, Frank A. Moret of Silver Spring, MD and Umbayi Moret of State College, PA; one sister, Susana Ortega and her husband, Rolando, of Havana, Cuba; two brothers, Alfredo Ortega and his wife, Esther, of Artemisa, Cuba and Antonio Ortega of Miami, FL; one grandson, Azuan, and four step-grandchildren, Nijiel, Janelie, Zion and Natalia. Rolo worked as an administrative assistant in Cataloging and Acquisitions at Penn State Pattee-Paterno Library in University Park, PA. The memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, with Father Michael Wolfe officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the children organization of your preference, or to the family: 3181 Shellers Bend Unit 7, State College, PA 16801.
